The Mineralogical Museum of Abitibi-Témiscamingue is an institution for conservation, interpretation, education, dissemination and enhancement of the geological and mining heritage of Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Québec, Canadian and international mineralogy.

The Museum makes accessible to present and future generations the realities of the world of geology, mineralogy, mining and other natural resources through its various collections, exhibitions (permanent, temporary, itinerant, virtual and industrial), educational kits, publications, mining tours and various special activities.



The Abitibi-Temiscamingue presents a geology and regional mining project exhibit as well as minerals from around the world.

What's new at the museum

This virtual exhibit was inspired by the book Malartic, a look at 75 years of history, created by the museum during the 75th anniversary of the municipality of Malartic in 2013.
