The Municipal Library and Museum

A prevailing trend these past years consists in grouping cultural assets. A prime example of this in Quebec includes the emergence of Maison de la culture and multiple mandates offered by cultural centers. With this in mind, the Museum’s administrators and Municipal electorate have proposed a plan to build a public library on the Museum’s grounds.

The construction of this building with an adjacent access to the Museum has several advantages. This also follows a prevailing trend, both regionally and nationally, to combine cultural infrastructures in order to maximize efficiency, reduce operating costs and offer a better service. to the public.
