the museum's mission is to preserve and highlight the geological heritage of the Abitibi-Temiscamingue region as well as international mineralogy through it's various activities. .

This is the only museum in Québec entirely devoted to geology and mineralogy. Visitors are invited to discover these two topics through a unique exposition concept. This original approach, which is for the whole family, opens the mind to the properties and characteristics of minerals and allows the visitors to realize that mineral kingdom can engender fascination based on beauty, understanding and usefulness.
